Can I use my own master model for vacuum casting or CNC machining?
Yes. We welcome customer-supplied master models for both processes:
Vacuum Casting: Master models are used to create silicone molds. These models can be made from any rigid solid capable of withstanding temperatures up to 100°C.
CNC Machining: Provided models will be 3D scanned to generate precise CAD/CAM programs for production.
Unless otherwise documented in writing:
Standard Storage Period: Rapid tooling and goods produced for the BUYER will be stored for a period of 18 months following the date of the last molding order.
Extended Storage: Upon written request by the BUYER, tooling and goods may be stored for a longer duration; however, standard storage fees will apply.
Disposal Policy: At the end of the initial 18-month period, and strictly no later than the maximum storage life of 5 years, all rapid tooling and goods will be securely destroyed and disposed of without further notice. This measure is taken to protect the confidentiality of both FriendLinkTech and the BUYER.
Limitation of Liability: Unless explicitly documented otherwise, FriendLinkTech shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to the BUYER’s goods and tooling, regardless of the cause. This includes, but is not limited to, fire, explosion, accident, negligence, error, defective workmanship, or any acts or omissions, whether occurring during the fulfillment of the contract or otherwise.
Risk Ownership: While in the possession of FriendLinkTech, our subcontractors, or during transit, all BUYER’s goods and tooling remain solely at the BUYER’s risk.
